Anti-Flux

Anti-flux is used in jewellery soldering to prevent solder from flowing into unwanted areas. Applied to selected parts of a piece before heating, it creates a barrier that helps jewellers maintain clean joins, protect moving components and achieve greater control during complex soldering work.

Commonly used on hinges, joints, chain links and multi-part assemblies, anti-flux helps stop solder bridging and reduces cleanup after soldering. It is especially useful when working close to previous joins or when precise solder placement is critical.
